How Much Does a Tradie Website Cost in Brisbane?

Reviewed November 2026

Short answer

With Orbital, a one-page site costs $1,500–$2,500, a multi-page trade site costs $3,500–$6,000, and a site with quote or booking forms and follow-up automation typically costs $6,000–$10,000.

Hosting and care starts from $65 a month.

All prices are AUD ex GST.

We're Orbital Solutions, a Brisbane-based business building websites and automation for trade, service and technical businesses.

We publish our prices so you can tell quickly whether we're likely to fit your budget before spending time on an enquiry.

If you already know what you need, tell us about your business and we'll give you an exact quote.

1. What Orbital charges

All prices in Australian dollars, ex GST.

1. What Orbital charges table
Site typeUsually suitsBuild price
One-page siteA sole trader or small business with one main service$1,500–$2,500
Multi-page trade siteA business with several important services$3,500–$6,000
Site with quote or booking forms and follow-up automationA business where the website also needs to support the enquiry and follow-up processTypically $6,000–$10,000

A typical build takes about a month.

Some projects are quicker and some take longer depending on scope, content and how quickly decisions are made.

Rebuilds of existing sites generally sit within the same ranges, but migration work and redirects can affect the final quote where the existing site is larger or more complex.

The $6,000–$10,000 range covers typical website-led quote, booking and follow-up workflows.

Complex integrations, custom software, customer portals or substantial business automation are scoped separately.

How Orbital compares with the wider market

Orbital sits above DIY and budget template builds because our projects can include positioning, content structure, website copy, responsive design and the enquiry or follow-up system around the site.

We sit below many larger custom-agency projects because we keep the build focused on what the business actually needs rather than adding process and complexity for its own sake.

2. Quick price estimator

Answer three questions to see which range a site like yours would usually fall into.

It's a rough guide, not a quote.

3. What changes the price

How many pages you need

A sole trader who does one main type of work may only need one strong page.

A business offering switchboard upgrades, solar, commercial maintenance and other distinct services will usually benefit from separate pages because each customer is looking for something specific.

A business may also benefit from dedicated location pages where there is enough genuine local relevance and useful content to justify them.

Otherwise, a clear service-area section is usually better than creating near-identical suburb pages.

Words and photos

If you already have useful photographs and know what the website needs to say, less content development is required.

If the business positioning, page structure and website copy need to be worked out from scratch, that is additional work.

Photography can also affect scope if suitable business imagery does not already exist.

What the enquiry process needs

A standard enquiry form is relatively straightforward.

A more detailed quote or booking request needs additional thought because it has to ask the right questions and get useful information to the right person.

Follow-up automation adds another layer.

The website then needs to connect with how the business actually responds, quotes, books or follows up.

That is why these projects sit in the higher range.

Replacing an existing site

If search engines already know your current website, its important page addresses need to be considered during a rebuild.

Where there is a genuinely equivalent replacement page, the old address should normally be redirected appropriately.

A small site with a handful of pages is relatively simple to migrate.

A large site with many old pages can require considerably more review and mapping.

A real example

WTM Electrical is an example of the type of multi-page technical trade website Orbital builds.

Its work spans marine electrical systems, automation, switchboards and system integration, so the website uses dedicated pages to explain those capabilities rather than forcing everything onto one generic Services page.

4. What the price includes and doesn't include

Every project is different, so the exact inclusions are confirmed in the written quote.

Before accepting any website quote, from Orbital or anybody else, make sure you understand:

  • how many pages are included
  • what each page is intended to do
  • who is responsible for the copy
  • who supplies the photography or imagery
  • what the enquiry, quote or booking form needs to do
  • whether follow-up automation is included
  • whether an existing website needs redirects or migration work
  • what hosting and care includes
  • which third-party services carry additional fees

Typical costs outside the website build may include:

Domain renewal

Your domain name normally has its own renewal cost.

The business should retain appropriate control of the domain account.

Business email

Email using your business domain is usually a separate service.

Third-party tools

SMS providers, booking platforms, email services and other software may charge separately.

Complex integrations and custom software

Substantial software integrations, portals and bespoke applications are not included merely because a website sits in the automation price band.

These are scoped separately.

5. Year one and ongoing costs

Hosting and care starts from $65 a month ex GST, which is $780 a year.

The table below uses that minimum ongoing rate.

Treat these totals as starting ranges, not fixed quotes.

5. Year one and ongoing costs table
Site typeYear one: build + 12 months hosting/careEach later year
One-page site$2,280–$3,280From $780
Multi-page trade site$4,280–$6,780From $780
Site with quote/booking and follow-up automation$6,780–$10,780From $780

All figures are AUD ex GST.

Add 10% GST when comparing them with GST-inclusive quotes.

Domain renewal, business email and third-party software fees are additional where applicable.

6. Is it worth it? A simple commercial calculation

Don't judge a website only by how it looks.

Think about what the website needs to contribute commercially.

A website does not create demand by itself, but you can use your own numbers to decide whether the investment makes sense.

For example:

  • imagine the website helps the business win 4 additional jobs a year
  • imagine average profit from each of those jobs is $1,000
  • that would represent $4,000 in additional yearly profit

Those numbers are illustrative only.

Use your own job value, margin and expected lifespan of the website.

For example, a multi-page build costing $3,500–$6,000 and used for three years represents roughly $1,170–$2,000 per year of build cost before hosting, care and other running costs.

The point isn't that every website will create four additional jobs.

The point is to compare the investment against what a genuine additional customer is worth to your business.

What happens after the enquiry matters too

Even a website that generates good enquiries can lose opportunities after the form is submitted.

For example:

  • an enquiry arrives while somebody is working and isn't seen until hours later
  • a form sends to an inbox nobody regularly monitors
  • a quote is sent and never followed up

This is why Orbital also works on Business Automation.

For businesses where quotes go quiet after they have already been sent, Orbital also built Quote Converter.

7. Questions to ask before choosing anyone

Ask every website provider the same questions, including us.

Get the important answers in writing.

  1. What will the website cost in year two, not only year one?
  2. Is GST included or added afterwards?
  3. Who controls the domain?
  4. Who owns or controls the website and its content?
  5. Who writes the copy?
  6. Who supplies the photographs?
  7. What does the monthly fee cover?
  8. What do future changes and extra pages cost?
  9. What happens when somebody submits an enquiry?
  10. Are search foundations and redirects included?
  11. What happens if I later move the website elsewhere?
  12. Which third-party software costs are additional?

For a broader checklist of what the website itself should contain, see What Should a Tradie Website Include?.

How long does a website take?

A typical build takes about a month.

Actual timing depends on the project size, available content and how quickly decisions and approvals are made.

Can you rebuild my existing site?

Yes.

Rebuilds generally use the same pricing bands.

Existing-site migration and redirects may affect the final quote depending on the size and complexity of the current website.

Complex integrations, custom software and portals are scoped separately.
